In 2004 the municipal authorities had made an agreement with the University of Thessaloniki for the later to conduct a research on the flora of all the islands of the Paxos complexity. The research was finally completed in 2008 and was presented in Gaios on the 2nd of May 2009 by professor, Kostas Papanikolaou and researcher and photographer, Kostas Vidakis. The material and invaluable photographs will be published with an English translation very soon and it will off course include the 3 plants, which are indigenous to Paxos and unique worldwide.
