In the recent local elections the party "Paxi: March to the Future" came out the winning party with Spyros Bogdanos at its head with a majority of 56,48% (920 votes in total).  The party under the title "Independent Democratic Cooperation" with Thomas - Athanasios Nikolouzos as candidate mayor received 709 votes in total (43,52%).   The winning team receives 10 seats at the Municipal Council, where the opposition receives 7 seats. Spyros Bogdanos has already been announced Paxos Mayor for the third consecutive time. All the new Council members gave their official oath at the Council Meeting Hall the week right before Christmas.
