According to Greek Law 2946/01 municipal authorities should choose public locations were advertising boards should be put up for the public to advertise their businesses etc under a small fee. Our Local Council on the 13/12/2008 approved 8 locations on Paxos were those boards were shortly afterwards put up. Each advertisement size A4 costs 50 euro per year and the license number of each advertisement board should be included in each advertisement. The particular measure was taken to help avoid littering buildings, olive trees etc around the island with printed advertisement posters of all kinds. The locations chosen are: 1. Gaios Port road by the Anemogiannis statue. 2. Road opposite electricity company building, 3. Gaios New port (opposite exit), 4. Magazia village opposite Lilas restaurant, 5. Cross road in Fontana village, 6. Road turn to Levrehio beach, 7. “Cambos” cistern in Ozias, 8. Cross road to Monodendri beach, 9. Entrance of Lakka village. Whoever is interested in putting an advertisement on one of the nine municipal boards, can ask for further information at the municipal office (Vice Mayor, mr Takis Arvanitakis). Advertisements in plastic made, size A4 poster should be presented at the municipal office on the first floor (Spyros Arvanitakis) by the 30/04/2009 and the fee of 50 euro payed per poster per year. Mr Spyros Arvanitakis is responsible for putting the posters on each board. Unauthorized placement of posters on municipal boards is strictly prohibited.
