The Board of Directors of the Local Young PeopleΆs Council has announced a series of lectures against addictions (drugs, alcohol, smoking), which will take place on the 7nth and 8th of May 2009 on Paxos. A special psychologist and psychotherapist of the OKANA (Organization against Drugs) of Corfu will give one lecture in the local High School and one in the Lyceum during morning hours and will conduct a public discussion in the Local Council Meeting Hall in Gaios on the subject at 19.00 on the 7th of May at the Local Council Meeting Hall. These lectures are part of a campaign against all types of addiction and especially drugs that the Local Young PeopleΆs Council is starting in an effort to force our fellow islanders to acknowledge the graveness of the addiction problem in our local society.
