The International Ensemble Modern Academy presents with the support of Megaron Athens, Paxos Festival Trust, J.F. Costopoulos Foundation and the island of Paxos a two-week summer course 'New Music in Greece' on Paxos. During this course different programmes will be prepared and presented in concerts on Paxos. Further on these programmes will be presented during the concert season 2009/10 inAthens Megaron in different concerts. Musicians of Greek nationality – not older than 35 years old - with a special interest in contemporary music, playing techniques and interpretation are invited to apply. Applicants are required to be in post-graduate studies or at the beginning of their professional career. Applications are invited for the following instrumental categories: woodwinds, brass, strings, piano and percussion. Selected participants will receive coaching in solo repertoire and chamber music by soloists of the Ensemble Modern of Frankfurt.
