Paxos Poseidon Sports Club celebrate the New Year

The Paxos Poseidon Sports Club organized its first event to celebrate the New Year on Saturday, January the 31^st 2015 in the Multiple Use Hall in the School center (Vlachopoulatika village). Athletes from the Men's Basketball team, young members of the Basketball Academy, parents and members of the Municipal council were present although weather conditions were difficult.

The Mayor of Paxos, Spyros Vlachopoulos, declared municipal support, ethical and financial towards the Poseidon sports club. Coach Dinos Boicos emphasized on the need for a sports hall on Paxos where athletes from handball, volley, basket, football but also dancers will be able to practice during the winter. Men's Basketball team athlete, Kostas Arvanitakis sliced the New Year Cake. Tasos Koulouris won the New Year coin and received his gift, a leather basket ball, which he then offered to one of the children present.

A great thank you to all the local council members, who honored us with their presence; thanks to the School board for offering the Multiple Use Hall to our Club for the particular event.
